[Dems2008] Inflation at the wholesale and retail levels

Wholesale prices, as measured by the PPI, are up 6.7% in last year. 

 

Eggs and milk are up about 32%; gasoline is up 34%; corn and wheat up more than 40%

 

That a slowing economy has disallowed vendors from passing on prices so far is not a good sign; it's a bad sign.
