• a private e-mail rec'd today makes me realize I have to clarify my account of the retired teacher who feeds those 45-50 kids twice a day out of her own money; there may have been some misimpression that the U.S. govt or your tax moneys were involved somehow
• My Peace Corps daughter found her in another small city quite by accident, and was moved by what the woman was doing.  The woman receives no funds from the U.S. or your tax dollars.  
• My daughter's work there does not involve anything like this woman's work.
• My daughter spends off-days every couple weeks traveling over to assist her
• Since we were visiting to spend Christmas with her, she thought we would enjoy spending our Christmas Eve helping her, instead of trading gifts.
