I posted a while back the Clinton strategy playbook. This was part of
the second phase. One small meaningless tempest in a teapot after
another intended to drive up Obama's negatives by showing him as 1)
inexperienced and 2) a business as usual political hack to discount
his "change for the usual politics" theme. Also need to show him to be
vulnerable to republican "swift boat" attacks. The overall goal is not
to win the upcoming races as much as it is to limit his victories and
insure the convention remains deadlocked and in the hands of the super
delegates. Another tactic will be to legitimize the super delegates
vote by showing Obama is courting them so obviously Hillary has to do
the same in response. They will legitimize their strategy with a
series of straw man arguments. At the same time trying to insure that
the count to confirm mentally if not legitimately remains over 2200
(whether the Michigan and Florida delegations are seated or not).
