• There is something of a "cult" fervor surrounding the Obama momentum, no doubt about that.   There is some emotion and zeal that rightly earns the "rock star" descriptions we hear about the campaign and the big turnouts, esp. at youth events
• DISCLOSURE:  I'm a firm and active Obama supporter, and a lifelong Democrat
• There are in the details facets of the campaign and its appeal that not only generate, but take good advantage of, that semi-spiritual fervor among many (I don't use the term "cult" in a pejorative sense at all, and I assume you do not either)
• We could discuss how that is manifest, and where it is reflected in the campaign, but I've been told rather clearly not to discuss demographics here.    Yes, Jamie, even my Obama campaign -- like your Clinton campaign -- has some thought police  who don't want open debate.   The comes with the territory in a country that has a wide spectrum  of sophistication
