Yes, normally when a former candidate endorses another current candidate he directs the delegates still assigned to him to support the candidate he's endorsing...

If Edwards endorses before convention, wouldn't he
logically give up the delegates he won?  And while
they are few, it could make a difference in a race
this close.  Must be a really tough call for him.
