Ci--We have found something we can agree on.  Confederate

General Joseph Johnston and Sherman became close friends

after the war.  Johnston became sick from marching bare

headed in Shermans funeral procession and died shortly

afterwards.--------------------Nan

Much is made of his military prowess, and "take no prisoners" attitude toward war; he was Grant's favorite general, key to Vicksburg, Richmond, and, of course, the march to the sea

but he is also reputed  to have been a man of high integrity; Confederates and Northerners both respected him greatly.
