True, but remember that no president can act alone (unless willing to
violate all kinds of principles and act primarily with Exec Orders and
Interim Appts.). Legislation is going to be required to enact any kind
of health insurance plan and this will require a whole bunch of wheeling
and dealing for ANY President. Even with a Dem majority for the first
two years of his presidency, Clinton (Bill) couldn't get a darn thing
done. And Hillary as nominee may not be able to heal the rifts that
this campaign season has produced. And plans will have to change as
they mature through the politicial process. Hillary may never get what
she wants in universal health care - she'll have to compromise, too.
