Re: [Dems2008] Why the DNC should ignore "Super Delegates" or risk having the Republicans win

Come now, Hillary has to stay in and fight for it.  She will not rollover, you gotta know that.    She will step down only if and when all breath of a change is gone.   I support her in part because she is not a quitter.  Who knows  what will happen!  Exciting!!   You really wouldn't want Obama to quit until there were no chance left at all if the tables were turned.

I have been suporting Hillary Clinton up to this point, it has become increasingly apparent that she will not be the leading candidate for the Democrats.  If she does not win Texas and Ohio she should do the right thing and pull out for the benefit of the country and the party.  If she does not win both Texas and Ohio she will have no chance whatsoever to win all she can be is a spoiler with hopes of bringing the vote to the convention.  I believe if she does not win both of those states the party offices starting with Dean on down need to meet decide to inform Hillary she should accept defeat and step aside.  Knowing the Clinton's she is likely not to do that in that event the super delegates need to inform her that they are withdrawing their support for her and moving their support to Obama.

Regardless of who I would want in office or vote for, I think most of
the super delegates (excepting family members and close friends) should
vote for the candidate that gets the most regular delegates or the
popular vote.

To do otherwise is asking for a big distraction.

I want to see the electoral college taken out of the Presidential
process and I would prefer a popular vote for nominees as well.

As far as I am concerned, we could eliminate parties and hold a run off
election. Everyone on one stage. One big primary in January. Top two
vote getters run against each other. Parties are not in the
constitution and unnecessarily polarize issues.
