or rejection of what Ferrarro or Wright has said seem to break rather
evenly along the lines of whether a member supports Hillary or Barack.
No, I'm not so naive as to think that persons who come to these Yahoo
groups are here because of their intellectual integrity; but it reminds
me that the only really useful and productive discussion I've had about
Ferrarro or Wright was among six of us at dinner on Friday night, for
almost 90 minutes: an engineer, two teachers, a lawyer, and two
retired folk -- evenly divided Republican and Democrat, with varying
views that were shared in a way that also included the acknowledgment of
each that none of us had any monopoly on the wisdom on these issues.
Probably unrealistic to expect that off-the-top of the head
two-sentence sound bites in a Yahoo group could be as thoughtful or as
honest.
