It makes no difference to me but here is why caucus are used.
They are ALOT cheaper especially in states that have very few members
of a party it makes less sense to spend taxpayer dollars on primaries.
They do the parties buisiness in a way that brings people for a long
term into the party fold. Think parent night and the PTA.
It rewards those who work hard in the party.
It helps eliminate crossover voting. (Especially like wacky states
like Wisconsin which is REALLY amazing)
Again I am not defending the caucus system, but there are reasons why
it is used.
