[Dems2008] Re: Do we really want to bury our heads in the sand

My point continues to be that this thing needs to be over. I suggest
however you go back and reread the dialogue. The Clinton camp has
patently refused to surrender. Fine... they feel that she is the best
choice, they feel like a deadlock going into the convention is fine, I
don't have a problem with that. I think its stupid. But it is NOT
something I want to get emotional about.

What I HAVE gotten emotional about, and what IS a problem is the
strategy they adopted just before Wisconsin and post Wisconsin adopted
whole heartedly. Her campaign was forced to go entirely negative to
prevent Barak from winning, and then JUSTIFYING it by saying this is a
taste of what he will face post nomination through November. We are
doing everyone a favor. On top of that the campaign is attacking the
voters that support Barak when they are the VERY voters we need to
court come this fall. Keep in mind, with the exception of a few, most
everyone here will vote for the nominee. Hell I am as blue dog as they
come. Despite the "I am mad my candidate did not win I am going to
vote McCain" petulant children, all of us are going to vote the party
line. The debate becomes how best to do win not only the presidency
but at every level. I think emptying the parties war chest to satisfy
an ego, and to tear down your own likely nominee is not a great
strategy. My HOPE is that come the end of the week that the
impossibility of Hillary winning this thing we make her supporters
realize the futility of continuing and SOMEONE can convince her to end
this.

If you don't like whats happening, write her campaign. Ask her to let
go and do the right thing.
