primaries. This is now a campaign based upon providing itself with an
arguable framework as to why they should be given the nomination on a
floor vote. Before Wisconsin the decision was made to bloody Obama
with negatives, muddy the process, and create arguments that will
support the legitimacy of Voting for Clinton when the election hits
the floor. What you will continue to see is a series of arguments
designed to give a super delegate a reason to go against the pledged
delegate count. What is really fascinating is the firewalls those
arguments have been supported by have crumbled. Originally it was the
florida and michigan delegates needed to be seated. That was not
enough. Then it became the "popular vote argument". That was not
enough (even with Michigan and Ohio). Then it became the big state
argument, swing state argument... but that put Clinton in a must win
Ohio position. So now it has devolved into blue states if they had a
winner take all system.
Eventually they have come up with a winner. I can't help thinking
about a pitcher who has an ERA of 1.62 during home games at night
facing a left handed batter with runners in scoring position.
Eventually you turn Steve Trachsel into Cy Young if your determined
enough.
On with the death march!
I wonder if we can change the name of the party from the Democratic
Party to the Donner Party.
