[Dems2008] Re: The Thin Skinned Obama Fans

Personally at this point I don't care who gets the nomination. What I
do care about is that this process has become nasty and divisive. I
really look at the technical side of the election process. Who makes
up the coalition needed to win. And very importantly what helps in the
BIG picture. Not just on the national scale. The presidential race is
the TIP of a giant iceberg.

My problem with Hillary Clinton comes down to a few simple points:

1) She thought this nomination was hers before it began. To understand
this I would point to a moment during the second debate where she was
caught on tape saying "We need to marginalize these guys" (speaking of
the other candidates) to Edwards. While obviously I am offended by
this... I was a Biden supporter... on top of that I question the
wisdom of a candidate who says this while the tapes are rolling at a
debate. It shows not only arrogance but a complete lack of sound
judgment that calls into question her ability to run an effective
campaign.

2)Hillary has turned to a slash and burn policy. Actually endorsing
her McCain over Obama and further disrupting the party on the day
after the Florida "primary" swearing she would do everything she could
to see they got full representation. This just fanned the flames of
what was an already bad situation. It became obvious Hillary believed
more in her campaign than she did the party. This all really turned
negative leading into Wisconsin, which is when she intentionally
undertook a strategy of pushing up Obamas negatives, and caring little
what the end result for the party would be.

3)Hillary has proven to be a very weak campaigner. She was supposed to
be the nominee. She was given front runner status over people with
alot more experience than herself because she has name recognition and
star quality. Not because of ability or because of her stellar
experience. In the end she blew it. I have posted before on issues big
and small her campaign stumbles around. It recovers somewhat when she
"finds herself" again, only to falter over and over. From failing to
tip a waitress in Iowa to the stupidity of failing to slate enough
delegates in PA her campaign has been amature hour at best. THIS does
not bode well for November. I worked for one idiots campaign (Kerry)
already... going door to door in Jonesboro arkansas- I will be damned
if I do it again. If she had a great staff I would back her. As it is
she is in charge of a ship of fools.
