i.e., the much-better purposes to which we could put the TWELVE BILLION
DOLLARS a month that we are flushing down a rathole in Iraw.
But it's also (in part) about lives being wasted: not just our
soldiers, but the impact on theri families and the dislocations of
hundreds of thousands of Iraqis (they're people too).
BUT I'm not suggesting that it is only about levees and bridges and
money for healthcare here. There ARE legitimate reasons, in certain
circumstances, to go to war: but Iraq and VietNam just were not two
of them.
