Re: [Dems2008] About being too personal

Forgetting the race and interracial marriage parts.  I find
it sad that this woman left her child in the care of her
parents as she went around the world doing her thing.
She had a difficult life by choice, and my opinion has
nothing to do with race.  I am sure she did pass some
good qualities on to her son.  But also he must have felt
a good deal of rejection, and although he doesn't say so
in his book it comes out in his many derogatory remarks
against whites.  He must have also felt rejection from his
father who deserted him as a small child but this does
not surface as much in his writing. It might have something
to do with his devotion to Wright.  All of this is just my
personal opinion and so who cares.  By the way it is not
why I am pro Hillary.  I want the best for my country
and I truly believe Hillary will give us the best.
The best health care, an end to the War, and better
economics. to name just a few. I share her outlook.

Edward,

First, Happy Easter to you and all list members !

I agree that this campaign has become too personal, but when
I notice derogatory remarks being made about Obama (or any
other candidate's relatives), I feel inclined to post about this
issue.

Further, I feel that if Obama's mom had married White Europeans,
there would be considerably less discussion about her. Some feel
offended to hear about interracial marriages. She had a difficult life,
but passed along important  values to Obama. God bless her and
his other relatives.

About Obama's chances in the general election, he will prevail in
a country which has had enough of a recession, poor health care,
a senseless war and so on. I see an upcoming landslide for him
in the general election. The American public wants change and
belief he is the one to bring this about in the next several years.
