Clearly, Obama's appearance, manner, & personality are 2 big reasons for his popularity.  This is nothing new in politics.  If Kennedy hadn't been witty, rich, and handsome (with a beautiful wife), Nixon would have defeated him.  If Princess Di had looked like Mother Teresa, there wouldn't have been all the idolization and her death wouldn't have caused such grief around the world.  Obama's lack of experience doesn't worry me.  Lincoln had about the same level of experience when he walked into the White House for the first time.  Kennedy too.  HIllary had the senate seat pretty much given to her.  She's been there longer than Obama, but my dog could be a senator.  It's not a particularly demanding job.  She was the wife of the President for 8 years and before that the wife of a governor and before that a lawyer in a law firm.  I think that I can live with Obama for 8 years.  I don't want to see Hillary on TV every day for 8 years.  I simply don't.
