Re: [Dems2008] Check this out

It's a lose-lose proposition...

Northrup Grumman won the contract... Some of Northrup Grumman's other contracts are for the B2 and E8 JSTARS...  Northrup Grumman is an American company, but they'll be using Airbus planes as the basis for the KC-45 and the assembly for the plane will take place in Mobile, AL.

I say it's a lose-lose because either you're going to pay more for a sole-American plane (Boeing) or you're going to pay less and have at least part of the contract go overseas....

Also remember that back in 2002 a couple of Boeing execs went to jail and the CEO resigned over fraud case involving the Air Forces last attempt to get a contract for refueling planes.  The contract for 100 Boeing KC-767s was voided.

I just red online and heard on news that the US air force back out of a contract with Boeing to make aircraft and go with a company overseas now what is that about i mean would you rather not have someone in the USA your own country build your planes???
