Re: [Dems2008] donors to obama campaign

Your listing there is highly misleading. When you make a political contribution you are asked to identify what your industry/profession is. It is not saying you're making a contribution on behalf of your industry/profession, just what your job is. Fact of the matter is 100% of Sen Obama's funds have come from individuals, individuals from all walks of life including lawyers, businessmen, retired people, investors, educators, etc.

Look at the RED print on the right hand side. "This chart lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2008 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organization's PAC, its individual
members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families."

Goldman Sachs did not donate $522,228. Individuals who work for Goldman Sachs donated $522,228. Individuals from Goldman Sachs also donated $440,300 to Sen Clinton.

Rob Harrington
