Re: [Dems2008] Lynching Sermon?

Carol, my priest is pro-Obama, but his Easter sermon
was about the love that Jesus had for us even unto
death, and the sacrifice that real love always
requires of us. It wasn't about politics or race or
bigotry or furthering a political agenda. I wish
everybody could at least understand that the 3 people
left running in this campaign are politicians. They
aren't saviours and they don't care more about us than
they do themselves. If Gandhi were running, I'd be
all over supporting him, but what we have are 3 people
with 3 huge egos and there's no reason for any of them
to be mentioned in a church service at all. Griping
about something stupid a pastor said, isn't like a
public lynching and he borrowed that from Clarence
Thomas like Wright borrowed chickens coming home to
roost from Malcolm X. I fear they lack originality at
best.
