Re: [Dems2008] Re: Ferraro: Obama is lucky he's black

1. Are Ferraro's crude comments in any way correct? Asked in a way less
crude, does he get any advantage from his race? I think he gets as
much advantage as he gets disadvantage. If you are of a group that is
seldom elected to high office, people will vote for you... and against
you, for that reason. In this case I am guessing he has the same
advantage Hillary Clinton has as a woman. It is a wash.

2. If BOTH Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama were white men, would he
be in the same position? I think he would be creaming her. I have
tried hard to ignore so many mistakes by the Clinton campaign, but I
think it really adds up to lack of preparation for tough situations.

3. If Hillary is Hillary and Barrack is white, she retains her
uniqueness advantage and he loses his, so I am guessing she would have
a slight lead.

I am speaking my unscientific opinion for the primary... it would hurt
my head to think about the difference when all of the population is
voting.

I think Obama is lucky he has such a quick mind and persuasive tongue
and good heart. That, I think, he why he has a lead.

Hillary has solid party backing, being a known entity, possibly more
experience with writing some forms of legislation and a little more
exposure to world leaders.

If George Bush is zero and JFK is 100 on a scale of comprehensive
education and world knowledge, both are above 80 on that scale. I
think McCain is less than 30. He started learning things late in life,
but not with a very intellectual or open mind.
