I think Harold Ford's plan has been to run for Governor or Senator
again in TN but he would make a good VP choice if we get stuck with
Hillary. Ford is already experienced - ten years in the U.S. House. He
would inspire people in the same way that Obama does. As a more
conservative kind of Democrat, Ford could appeal to swing voters. And
losing a Senate race didn't stop others going to win the White House
much less being considered for the Vice Presidency. I'm sure that Ford
would accept the call of his party if needed to help restore unity and
the voters of TN would understand.
