Yes you have the gist of it.
As you move along the three steps, yes there should be strong supporters elected on both sides that will not change. But as there is a possibility of flipping a delegate at one of the three stages this is what Hilary is talking about. My husband and I are delegates for Obama, have supported Obama since the beginning and have never signed anything for Hillary.
But guess what, each of us has received three different recorded messages from Hillary on our cell phones (which were the numbers listed on our Delegate information sheets turned into the County and State) requesting us to support her on Saturday. If we are getting these I am sure all of the delegates are getting them.
So don't think she isn't trying her best to flip delegates to her. I wish it wasn't a recording because I would have loved to tell her or her campaign what I think of her tactics.

Is there a viable pool of undecidedes or a third candidate who is no
longer viable then those delegates will merge with say Clinton.
I think I understand where the initial pool comes from, but I want to
make sure I got it right.
