[Dems2008] ATTN: Travelers/mbrs of small groups: Battered Women Shelters

Battered women's shelters exist almost everywhere; they are very appreciative to those who collect all those little sample-sized soaps, shampoos, conditioners etc. that hotels put next to the sink.

 

If you travel, bring them home and let them collect.  if you are part of a small  group (e.g. a neighborhood reading group, etc.) encourage members to bring them to someone who  will collect them and then donate them to a battered women's shelter.

 

We've been doing this for years.....both from our own travels and stays in hotels, and through small groups of which we are members. 

 

You'd be surprised how quickly those shampoos, soaps, etc. accumulate.
