[Dems2008] Dean. Stupid? Weak? or Duplicitous?

"Their primary essentially won't count, " Democratic National
Committee chairman Howard Dean said of Florida. "Anybody who campaigns
in Florida is ineligible for delegates."

"As the Florida Democratic Party was fully informed a month ago, the
delegate reductions become effective if the Florida Democratic Party
fails to submit a revised and compliant Plan by September 29, 2007,
"Dean said. "Proposed solutions that you reference in your letter
would not comply with the Rules in that both proposed solutions keep
the January 29, 2008 primary as a binding event that would allocate
delegates among presidential candidates."

"The DNC will enforce the rules as passed by its 447 members in August
2006,"the Dean said last week.

"We're disappointed in Gov. Dean's response," Nelson said. " He's
rejected at least three compromise solutions. Now there is no choice.
I'm preparing a lawsuit."

Top Democrat Howard Dean and the Democratic National Committee filed
legal papers today saying that if lawmakers want to file suit they
should be suing the state, not him.

"We believe we will absolutely seat the delegation from Florida at the
convention," Dean said, flanked by all nine of the state's Democrats
in the U.S. House. "That's in everybody's best interest, and all of us
are committed to make sure that happens."

Democratic party chief Howard Dean this morning stood
shoulder-to-shoulder with Florida's Democratic congressional
delegation and said Florida will have a delegation at this summer's
presidential nominating convention.

It was a stupid decision to start with. Then he waffles saying the
state must pay for its own revote, then the campaigns would have to
pay for it. Now a revote is not necessary and he wants to do
everything he can to fix it. Well damn it you broke it in the first
place, now fix it. Make a damn decision. Is it part is it all? And why
is this negotiating going on in public. My God man do your JOB.
