York. The negative campaigning based on race (three major instances of
her campaign bringing it up), her accusations of "Roveian" tactics in
Ohio (which turned out to be a lie she aftually did actively support
Nafta), her refusal to congratulate her opponent, her repeated attacks
on Obamas religion, her questioning of Obama's patriotism... those get
laid at Hillary's door.
You have one or two quotes taken out of context and the statement of
one or two people in the campaign whose comments were IMMEDIATELY
rejected and they were dismissed. One being the general "Hillary
Clinton is a monster" which was said off the record and hardly
applies.. Obama had no need to go negative. Hillary already sported
negatives in the 50's. Her decision to go negative was made BEFORE
Wisconsin because she ran a pathetic campaign and her only hope was to
deadlock the convention.
