[Dems2008] THIRTEEN U.S. dead since Sunday

and it's only Wednesday. I'm coming (returning) to the point where
this war is of such primacy to me -- dwarfing just about everything
there is out there issues-wise -- that I'll vote for any Democrat we
nominate, if the alternative is McSame

Senator Hagel was the first person in 44 years to even tempt me to
support a GOP nominee for president, but it looks like he's serious
about getting out of politics altogether. He (or Jim Webb of
Virginia) would be mighty attractive VP nominees for our party, even
though Hagel is nominally a Republican.
