the iraqi force I was asked if I thought we would do it. I said no...
irs posturing... nobody is that stupid. Some of the strongest
proponents to go to war were democrats... I am sure one or two of you
here bought into the scam. Not that i would ever expect anyone to
admit it. So here is my little far out on a wing take.
Saying we will withdraw troops now is a mistake. First until the new
president takes over he or she will have to be briefed as to the
reality of the situation. The fact is we don't KNOW what those
briefings will say. We don't KNOW how deep of a hole we were thrown
into by bush. Sometimes the best way out is not gunning the engines.
My point is this... if you run on a platform of "get out now" two
problems arise. First its forgotten that this needs to be framed as a
REPUBLICAN mess (admittedly harder for Hillary than Obama)Instead the
issue is not who screwed this up and why we don't want to screw the
pooch more by a preemptive strike against Iran like McCain
ADVOCATED... instead we get bogged down in the technicalities of a
withdraw... which has to be done with the military leadership behind
it. Further casualties and the inevitable ensuing disaster becomes the
democrats problem.
Extraction of our troops despite the passion will have to be dome
slowly and carefully.
