I appreciate what you are saying but in states that are primary orriented, introducing a caucus system may not work. The majority of people who are democrats do not belong to the party formally and may not get crucial info related to the when and where so fast if they do. Also, from the little caucus there is when delegates are chosen from the primary results, the fewer locations available for voting are not that easy to get to and may discourage people from voting. I do believe in the primary system and also in an open primary, as opposed to a closed primary.

In the South the caucus system moderated elections away from
segregation and racism. There is a very significant reason why they
worked in the South, and why abandoning them can lead to unexpected
consequences. Too often in this party and in the nation as a whole we
are unhappy with outcome so we try to change the system. Caucus have a
moderating effect on national elections. As we have abandonded them in
favor of primaries the nation has become more polarized and more
conservative. Imagine in the future what issues might be forcing
national politics to even greater extremes.
