I thot this was a really old story. Public financing of a campaign only
works if that campaign is unable to raise funds on its own. Yeah, Obama
said some silly things about it before this campaign got started and he
realized that he was going to last beyond Iowa. But, he's learned the
first rule of politics - "never get boxed in" - and he should be a lot
stronger president because of it....Carol
