derogatory name or term. The trolls are the people who run our school
system... the people who should be able to teach our children and don't
know how. There are a number of people on this list who are obviously
intelligent and caring people, and I assume all of us are high school
graduates, albeit some are a tad ignorant. But that ignorance is not
the fault of the student, its the fault of the teacher, or the system
that produces teachers who fail to teach. Education in this country is
another victim of political correctness, and standardized tests, and it
shows up when someone with good ideas and thoughtful comments can't
communicate properly because s/he hasn't been taught the English
language properly. Teachers are not alone in attracting my ire, however.
Parents are not doing their jobs, either. Homework, not Nintendo.
Reading, not watching. I hear parents complain that they don't know
what their children are watching on tv, to which I reply: "Go look"
When there is only one tv and its in the family room, you know what the
kids are watching - (unless, like the kids next door, the parents are
gone and the girl and boyfriend are watching porn flicks). So, even my
own rules have exceptions. But I'm sure you get the gist....Carol
