Re: [Dems2008] Re: how hard is it to grasp

I really don't have a problem with Clinton continuing to campaign... but it's the tactics that I disagree with... the fact that the only way she can win is to kneecap Obama and she's doing everything she can to do that...

So if she continues her attacks (and don't start hollaring that she's not attacking him) what will the result be? Either A> a treasure trove of campaign material for the Republicans if she loses or B> A very disgruntled group of Obama supporters who are liable to say "screw you" if she wins.

either way it's a lose/lose situation.

She should take a page from Huckabee's campaign playbook on how to run a campaign that most likely won't win.

Rob Harrington

The campaign is not life or death; it is to decide on the better person. Part of those qualities is tenacity. Whoever is the victor in our party, he or she should be able to keep the faith when things get rough as it will in this campaign. whatever the tiff between O and C, is nothing like it will be after Sept between the Dem candidate and McCain. They will be worse than when Kerry ran. And look what carnage GW made of everything these past 8 years, can you imagine what it will be after 8 years with mccain who will stay the current Presidents course on everything?

people give up ALL the time in campaigns... There's nothing wrong with conceding defeat when the outcome is obvious. We'd gone through 3 contests when John Edwards gave up...

The "giving up is not an option" is insanity masked as courage. You know what fighting to the death will bring you? nothing... you're dead. And in the meantime what carnage did you leave in your wake?

I see. One thing though. It is not being obtuse about the situation or arrogant that it is an uphill fight. But in any campaign or contest, you fight until the end. Giving up is not an option. A person will always lose when they give up. when the vote is taken we cheer or lament but go on to back the winner. If we give up easily now, we will do the same if it gets just a little rough when we deal with McCain.

I figure that if the Hillary supporters are that obtuse it needs to be
repeated until they get it.

If one Iota of what I said was untrue... correct me. I think part of
the reason I say it over and over again is because anything else is
window dressing.

This is the elephant pooping on the carpet in the living room.
Personally I don't think when thats happening one should worry about
the lace accent draping the credenza.
