Re: [Dems2008] Re: Our Founding Fathers Warned Us .... this is very boring

Thanks, Ras, that's all very interesting. And outrageous.
Loved how they covered newly discharged Veterans unemployment issues, and followed with a quiz question brought to them by the Navy.
Buy an ipod so you can download the Constitution . . . see who celebrities are voting for (from Chuck and Stallone to Sean . . .).
That report is great, too. I wonder whether they've made a real stand yet. Loved this . .  "you will be known by the companies you keep". . . ."Advertising’s emotionally manipulative message is that your worth, your identity, is merely a reflection of the products you buy, wear, consume and by which you are entertained. The celebrities with whom you identify. In short, that "you will be known by the companies you keep." . . .

It lead me to check out a new, to me, source for movies, wanted to see if anyone had done a documentary on ChannelOne, . . . teachpeace.com . . . are you familiar with it? Just watched Merchants of Cool there

I might be a bit dimmer than you imagine, Ras. The only thing on their homepage that hit me as a possible for destroying NSLP, which i still know very little about, was the criticism of the bid process for providers of local foods. They want to change the bidding laws under the guise of offering more healthful food?
" . . .It's a lot more complicated than it sounds to get produce from across the street into a school. Schools are bound by USDA guidelines that sometimes leave them with only 90 cents per meal to spend on food. Bidding laws mean schools often aren't allowed to spend more on produce grown locally . . ."
Please share the hidden message.

And thanks for sharing part of your draft, marketing to captive children while making them good infotainment consumers instead of better students . . . guess I'm into dull sometimes.
