[Dems2008] McCain

I've seen no reason to respect John McCain. I have a half dozen
friends who were either shot down over VietNam and died, or who
otherwise suffered serious wound or death in VietNam. My respect for
each of them is GREAT and lasting, and I miss them. But my respect
for them has nothing to do with their having been wounded or killed in
VietNam.

I do not DISRESPECT McCain for anything related to his wartime service
or captivity. On the other hand, it is entirely irrelevant to any
qualification to be president.
