[Dems2008] The Muslim thing

• I'm not in the least bit religious -- recovering Christian is I guess what you'd call me
• but for those who have lost sight of the VAST distinction between, on the one hand,  the lunatic crazies who flew into the World Trade Center, CrackPot Osama bin Laden, and Al Qaeda devotees and, on the other hand, Islam, spend an hour, go to the library, and browse thru the chapters on Islam in Karen Armstrong's History of God (it's a masterful scholarly recap of the major religions, and it's well-researched).
• But even if you don't want to do that, do yourself the favor of not appearing to be a CERTIFIABLE MORON who confuses Islam and its practitioners from a bunch of crazy hateful spiteful lunatics who would like to bomb the hell out of us.   The gulf between the two makes the Grand Canyon look like pie plate.
