[Dems2008] Re: Louis Farrakhan endorses Obama

DISCLOSURE:   Obama supporter here.

• I don't interpret Nan's loyalty to Hillary as "blind."  That it may be a loyalty to a candidate other than our own is no cause to characterize it so
• The role of black churches in politics is age-old, at least here on the East Coast.  I'm not criticizing it, but it's a given.
• And, beyond black or white or blue churches, there is a serious problem in this country with pastors and preachers coming really too close to the line in terms of political advocacy.........which raises questions (usually not addressed) about their 401(c) status.
• But I've seen that as often in white churches as in black churches.  Actually I have not SEEN it in either; I've seen reports of political advocacy in too many churches, and I've seen those for decades.
