Sandra....Here is a copy of the schedule for my caucus here in Washington. If it doeasn't help, e-mial your State Dem party and ask then for a copy of their schedule.
Judith
12:00 p.m.
You arrive at the Caucus location and locate the Precinct CommitteeOfficer (PCO) and/or the Site Supervisor, running the location for the
state party, and offer to help within your precinct let the PCO know
that you are there to help this run smoothly. Also, spend time
familiarizing yourself with the location, as several precincts will be in
the same area.
If you have yard signs or placards, please put them up throughout the
rooms. If you have additional time, feel free to make and bring
homemade signs. Please be mindful of the rules that the location
owner has put in place regarding the use of masking tape on the walls.
Also, please remember to take the signs down after caucus is adjourned.
1:00 p.m. Caucus-goers begin to arrive, check in at the door and are directed to
their individual precinct area..
Once at their precinct area, they sign in and write their presidential
preference on the sign in sheet provided by the state party
representative. If you do not sign in, you will not be counted.
***If your precinct runs out of sign in sheets, ask the PCO for more.
If they are unavailable, have people sign in on the back of the sign in
sheets or on extra paper you may bring.
Greet everyone as they arrive, welcoming them, asking them if they
are Hillary Clinton supporters, and making sure they are taken care
of. To make sure Hillary Clinton is successful this Saturday, we need
to get every undecided caucus go-er to support Hillary.
This is your first chance to advocate for Hillary on Caucus Day.
1:30 p.m.
Caucus delegate selection begins at 1:30pm.
Step 1:
The Precinct Committee Chair (PCC) calls the meeting to order.
During this time, you should continue to focus on recruiting everyone
to support Hillary.
If there is no PCC, please step forward and offer to run the
caucus. Those who sign in will elect a PCC from among
themselves. We need our people to be organized and counted!
Step 2:
The Precinct Committee Chair (PCC) conducts party business, then
announces the number of initial supporters for each candidate.
Step 3:
The PCC announces that people can make one minute speeches in
favor of their candidate we urge you to speak up for Hillary at this time.
Step 4:
After speeches, people will have a chance to pick a second choice
candidate (after the first round, caucus go-ers do have the opportunity
to change their mind, we must keep our supporters together). It is
important that you keep the Hillary people together, and bring new
people into our group.
Once the PCC announces realignment is done. Any person who joins
the Hillary Clinton group, must sign the original sign in sheet that
their second choice is Hillary Clinton.
THE FINAL COUNT WILL COME FROM THESE SIGN IN SHEETS!
Step 5:
The final step in the caucus process is to choose and elect delegates.
IF WE DO NOT FILL ALL OF OUR DELEGATE SLOTS,
ANOTHER CANDIDATE CAN CLAIM THEM ALSO, THAT
MEANS IF ANOTHER CANDIDATE DOES NOT FILL THEIR
SPOTS, YOU SHOULD CLAIM THEM.
Once delegates areawarded make sure you have names of Hillary supporters within
your precinct to write in the delegate slots (these forms will be
provided by the party).
The caucus is not over until delegates are selected. Please do not
leave until delegates are selected.
Once the delegates are awarded at your precinct, be sure to see if
other precincts at your location need help with any questions!
Thank you for all of your support and hard work! It is people like you, which will make
us successful in Washington State.
