If you want McCain in the White House, vote for Hillary Clinton.  HIllary generates and incredible amount of hatred and disgust from a very, very, very large segment of the population.  I'd vote for McCain rather than Hillary, and I'm a Liberal Democrat.  I live in a heavily Democratic town and about half the people I run into despise Hillary.  I may be wrong of course, but she can't win the general election against McCain.  One thing that would help Hillary is for her to stop screeching.  Her voice is one of her biggest liabilities.
