EACH individual needs to stand up and say NO MORE. I read one persons
comments that all of this proves why the Republicans wanted Obama in
the first place. SHAMEFUL. Sickening. Pathetic. October surprise and
swiftboating... Hannity said... Rush said...
Well I say kiss my ass.
I thought I belonged to a party that saw beyond race. Apparently I was
wrong. I sort of expect stupidity and bigotry to be the fare of the
small percent that represent the WORST of the Republican party, but
when I find it within the party that I have worked so hard for... I am
disgusted. We act like we are a higher species of animal than those
who think in racial terms... I guess we are all feeding from the same
trough.
Instead of fighting against the very worst society has to offer, we
embrace it. Across the board I would expect every decent person to
denounce this stupidity. But no... its a campaign slogan. MY GOD. I
would rather loose this damn election and every election after that if
we allow racists and idiots pick our candidates for us. To those
people that listen to people like Hannity and Rush and worry about a
candidate being "swiftboated", you get what you deserve.
Here is a news flash. Kerry didn't loose because of some idiot and a
swiftboat advertisement. He lost because he sucked ass as a candidate.
PERIOD. But you people are too stupid and close minded to see it.
Whats worse is those who say Obama is black and white people will
never vote a black man for president... so we better choose a white
candidate. THINK ABOUT THAT. Think long and hard. Look yourself in the
mirror. Read Jericho Road. Read about the civil rights movements in
the 50's. Where would you stand.
In a group that I am sure prides itself on its wisdom and forward
thinking for the dialogue to be dominated by crap like this shows how
small minded and pathetic we really are.
If you see this election in terms of Black and White... or for that
matter male and female ... think about what that says about yourself.
Say to yourself over and over ... I am not a racist. Say it enough and
you will believe it. But no matter how much you say it won't make it true.
