[Dems2008] Izzy, you're missing something

One's level of education has nothing to do with one's intellect, except
to the extent that we tend to give more education (some say better
education) to those who have already demonstrated greater intellects.
But all the schooling in the world will not much improve one's native
intellect.

Similarities abound: Look at nan for example. She apparently has a
frequent flyer card at her local library. But reading all those books
has not sharpened her thinking or reasoning skills, or supplemented her
level of common sense.

You've seen this before: we used to attend a church where the preacher
was very very well-read. He read constantly. But his sermons were
book reports for the most part; he never got any insight; he only
learned new facts.

I've seen great insight and keen intellects among less-educated persons;
and I've seen really screwball thinking disorders among persons with
lots of education. Bush I think has a Yale degree and an MBA, and he
remains a moron.
