Mark, I think there should be marriage for all.  Why should we be the only ones that are miserable? j/k I love my hubby.
 
What is it about marriage that is so important to you?  Is it that it makes it somehow more official?  Will a piece of paper give your relationship more meaning? I am just trying to understand, I don't want to hurt anyone.  Honestly, if my hubby and I could have all the trappings of marriage without the piece of paper (and the church not having a cow), believe me we would have just lived together and we did for awhile. But then we wanted to adopt a child (I can't have one) and the whole "you have to be married" thing came about.  I honestly don't see why so much importance is put on a piece of paper.  I also don't see why you can't get married.  I would have thought that as a society we are past that.  I agree with Obama, the federal government should not be setting about making a definition of marriage as a man and a woman.
