[Dems2008] Re: OT - Sherman

  • Much is made of his military prowess, and "take no prisoners" attitude toward war; he was Grant's favorite general, key to Vicksburg, Richmond, and, of course, the march to the sea
  • but he is also reputed  to have been a man of high integrity; Confederates and Northerners both respected him greatly.
