I just admire him because he was action not talk. He did what
had to be done to end the Civil War. He has been blamed for
a lot of destruction done to Georgia and the Carolina's most
of which was actually done by the confederates. The first
book I read about the General was Burke Davis's Shermans
March and it is not a pretty picture but fortunately I have
read more books since then that shows a better picture
of Sherman. This is not to say that some of his men did
not commit atrocious acts they did but this is always a
part of war.-----------------------Nan
